Antônio Luiz Seabra: passion for finance from an early age.

Born in 1942 in the city of São Paulo, Antônio Luiz Seabra, since he was a child, has always shown a great interest in the area of finance. At just 15 years old, Seabra was already working in this sector, in the same company that his father also worked for.

This experience was essential for this future successful entrepreneur to become even more interested in everything that involved calculations and money. Proof of this is that Seabra, after completing high school, enrolled in the economics course.

After graduating from college, Seabra took a job at a large company that manufactured computers, working there for eight years, reaching the position of superintendent. This was of great value, as all this experience and learning would serve for him to open his own business, which was his biggest dream.

Nascimento da Natura.

At the age of 27, in 1969, Seabra and his partner Jean Pierre inaugurated the Berjeaout Cosmetics Trade Industry. The following year the name was changed to Natura, which would become a veritable empire. The origin of this name is because of the composition of the products sold, which had natural ingredients.

In the beginning, Seabra used to sell his products door-to-door, as it was a fairly common sales method at the time. Taking advantage of the direct contact with customers, the entrepreneur also gives. He also gave specialized advice on what he sold, arousing more and more people's interest.

After 10 years of Natura's inauguration, in 1979, the administrator Guilherme Leal began to be part of the group, which was only growing. Ideas and assertive decision-making were paramount for the business to expand throughout the country.

And that's exactly what happened. Natura has always been managed with ideas and actions that are considered pioneering in several aspects. Perhaps it is because of this and because of his incredible financial intelligence that Seabra ended up becoming a reference as a successful visionary entrepreneur.

Concern about environmental impacts.

The manufacture of cosmetics can cause significant impacts on the environment, because of the thousands of chemicals used. One of Natura's differentials is Antônio Seabra's constant concern in this regard.

The entrepreneur's goal now is to focus on the practice of direct sales, which is something that the North American competitor Avon has already been practicing, with surprising results. The fact is that Antônio Luiz Seabra always invests in innovation, especially with regard to the preservation of the environment.
